Dutch rabbits are a small breed characterised by their neat, regular markings and small, cobby shape. They have stood the test of time being bred almost unchanged for hundreds of years and it's not difficult to see why......They are an exciting challenge for any show breeder to undertake as well as being super little rabbits that can make wonderful companion pets. All in all they are the perfect rabbit for any owner to keep.
The Southern Dutch Rabbit Club (SDRC) is dedicated to breeders and exhibitors of Dutch rabbits in Southern England and stages several shows each year within this area. We are affiliated to the British Rabbit Council meaning our open shows are awarded BRC star status. Our open show judges are selected from the United Kingdom Dutch Rabbit Club's judging panel and our members show judges are carefully chosen from our own membership.
All members of the club aim to promote the hobby of exhibiting and good rabbit-keeping in general. We keep our rabbits as a hobby and hope you will enjoy reading about what this hobby involves.
Please feel free to browse our site to learn more about the club and the lovely breed we specialise in. Should you have any further questions or comments about the club please feel free to contact the Secretary via the link at the top of each page.
